I booked a private room at K-heights via the AirBNB app for $30/night. The location was not too far from tons of shops, restaurants, and bars.
The room was exactly as they pictured online. One big queen size bed, private bathroom, and hot water shower. There was no AC but they did have a ceiling fan that was rather loud but did its job.
The bathroom was OK-clean and the shower had hot water.
Breakfast was included during the three mornings I spent at K-Heights.
The staff was very helpful with answering questions and holding my bags and valuables after I checked out until I was ready to leave for my ship back to Manila.
I’d rate K-heights an overall 8 out of 10. I felt safe, the staff was ok, and the room was clean-ish. As I said in my other reviews for Just Inn and BKNY, $30/night was a lot more than what I’d like to spend on accommodations. I booked this because it was the cheapest room I could find online. But if you are budget conscious and ok to wing it, I’d suggest to wait until you get to Coron and just find a hostel or a homestay that you see on the road (check out backpackers homestay). There were tons of local accommodations that I saw in person but not online that I’m sure were cheaper than what I booked. The Philippines is not fully developed so many local accommodations do not have websites or listing on travel sites such as booking.com or AirBNB.
